Homemade Healthy Lemonade

As the mercury rises, it's time to swap out those sugary, store-bought drinks for something healthier and homemade. Our lemonade recipe is the perfect antidote to scorching summer days. No refined sugars or additives here – just all-natural, tangy goodness. So, grab some lemons, and let's dive into a world of refreshing, homemade bliss.

Healthy Homemade Lemonade

DIETARY: VEG, GF, EF, DF, NF

ALLERGENS: /

AGE GROUP: 12 months+

SERVES: 4

PREP: 10 mins

EQUIPMENT: High-speed blender

INGREDIENTS:

5-6 lemons, juiced (300ml) 

1/3 cup Manuka honey 

4 cups cold water or sparkling water 

Ice cubes 

 

Optional add-ins: 
Fresh mint or basil leaves 

Lemon slices 

Raspberries, blueberries, strawberries 

Cucumber slices 

 

METHOD:

  1. Juice the lemons, then add juice and honey into a blender and blend until smooth. 

  2. Pour lemon blend into a large jug and fill up with cold water and ice. 

  3. Add favourite add-ins or serve without. 

STORING LEFTOVERS:
Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days.

 

TIPS:

  • Prep tips: 
    Freeze lemon-honey mix in ice cube trays for easy use. 

  • Easy ingredient swaps: 
    Swap lemon for fresh orange juice. 
    Swap Manuka honey for raw honey, maple syrup or a pinch of stevia. 

  • Baby-friendly version: 
    Leave out honey.
